The Supreme Court decision rejecting race-conscious admissions in higher education is a backward step for our nation and its progress towards socio-economic equality and will have a severely negative impact on future opportunities for entrepreneurs of color. The grave repercussions for black-owned businesses will be felt for years to come. This makes the mission of the Northern Virginia Black Chamber of Commerce even more necessary to help black-owned businesses overcome barriers to success despite systemic economic disparities in the country today.
